We only get involved in advocacy project that we are passionate about, then we are all in. Not all our projects you may agree with – even within our own team we reflect diverse opinions! However, you cannot fault our success rate.
For example, in 2020 we worked with PR expert Jo de Joux, on the End of Life Choice campaign in New Zealand. This was a historic campaign that resulted 65.1% of kiwis voting in favour of legalizing assisted dying.
This was the first successful campaign to legalise assisted dying in the Southern Hemisphere. It was also the first successful campaign to legalise assisted dying by way of a public referendum. The End of Life Choice Act came into force on 7 November 2021. Since then, over 1,000 people have accessed assisted dying in New Zealand.
